The multi-purposes readers can be used for:
– Access control: All the units, thanks to their built-in proximity reader, send the cardholders'
transactions to a DDS controller for access control purpose.
– Job and reflexes monitoring: Units equipped with keypad (DK23 and DK26 series) can check cardholder's PIN,
can record specific transactions code and trigger pre-defined reflexes like opening of all doors, printing reports,
relays activation, sending e-mails, displaying messages on the central PC, etc.
– Multi-application: The DK26 series, thanks to its keypad and LCD display, also manages:
– Time & attendance: Information on entry, exit or specific transactions can be keyed in.
User-defined message are displayed on the LCD for user convenience. ('Entry', 'Exit', 'Exit busy', etc.).
– Alarm handling: Users can manually arm and disarm alarm zones and queer alarm zones status.
– Messages to cardholders: Amadeus 5 can send messages to the LCD to signal an emergency state, forward a message
while badging, etc.
Full encryption path of the serial reader
DDS has established a partnership with Legic© Indent Systems,
the leading manufacturer of contactless smart card technology for personal identification.
Therefore, the whole communication path can be encrypted: from the PC (Amadeus encrypts the communication with the controllers)
to the controllers, to the serial Legic readers (which also encrypt the codes) to the card.
